Air Generation Unit installation and removal tool

Used on A380 aircraft for the installation and removal of the air generation unit.

Designed, developed and manufactured by Field for the removal and installation of the air generation unit (AGU) for the A380 aircraft. The air generation unit is removed in order for the filters to be replaced. Field designed the equipment which ensures a fast and safe return to service. This is the only Airbus approved equipment to perform the task and appears in the Airbus aircraft maintenance manual (AMM).

The equipment offers five axes of movement and is manually operated via hand-wheels. The Z axis (raise & lower) is powered electrically, and can also be raised and lowered hydraulically by the use of a hand pump.
